Suzuki first introduced the SV650 in xxxx. And since then it has become something of a cult classic, and one of Suzuki's all time most popular bikes. Then in xxxx Suzuki re-styled it, and changed it's name to Gladius. Though it never achieved any where near the SV's level of acceptance, it is essentially the same great sport standard. So what are you getting with this bike? Well, that same great 650cc 90 degree V-Twin is still in place doling out excellent low and mid range torque. Brakes and suspension, although not up spec, still get the job done just fine thank you. Bargain blaster? Definitely. In short, it's overall performance goodness makes it a worthy competitor for anything else in it's class, including the Ducati 696. If you're moving up from your first bike, or just in the market for a great street standard, take a long look at the Gladius.
